Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and Repair Electrical Systems: Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following electrical code and blueprints.
  • Connect and Test Electrical Components: Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and test electrical components to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot Electrical Issues: Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and troubleshoot electrical issues to identify the root cause.
  • Replace and Install Electrical Components: Replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, and motors, and install new electrical components, such as position sensing devices.
  • Plan and Implement Electrical Layouts: Plan the layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Program Automated Machinery: Program automated machinery, such as robots, using a teach pendant and programmable controller.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Perform and document all preventative maintenance activities, as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Manage Electrical Spare Parts Inventory: Responsible for inventory control of all electrical spare parts.
Requirements
  • Current Provincial Electrician License: Possess a current Provincial Electrician license.
  • Experience in Electrical Maintenance: Minimum 3 years experience in general electrical maintenance.
  • Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Control Wiring and Troubleshooting: Experienced with control wiring and trouble.
