Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following electrical code and blueprints.
  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors and position sensing devices.
  • May plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • May push buttons and press keys on robot controllers, teach pendants, and programmable controllers to program automated machinery.
  • Perform and document all activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Responsible for inventory control of all electrical materials.

Requirements

  • Possess a current Provincial Electrician license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in general electrical maintenance.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced with control wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Plant Orientation Training.
  • Job Specific Training.
