Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Lead Teacher to join our team at Engineering for Kids of Halton. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in delivering our engaging and interactive STEM programs to children aged 4-14.

Responsibilities
  • Program Preparation: Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing materials and supplies for each program, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our students.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage student participation by facilitating warm-up activities and providing individual support as needed, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Teaching Excellence: Deliver high-quality instruction that caters to the unique needs and abilities of every student, striving for excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure classes operate smoothly by conducting tasks such as observing and recording data during student tests, managing supplies, and assisting with demonstrations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Reflect on and evaluate your instruction to identify areas for improvement, seeking additional training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Primary Duties
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, being courteous and approachable to students, parents, and staff.
  • Policy Adherence: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the policies of our franchise location, including safety procedures and dress code.
