Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Assistant at Canada Inc.

About the Role

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with a focus on supporting the development of young children in a daycare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
Requirements
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Immunization records.
  • Tuberculosis test.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
Work Setting

This role is based in a daycare centre or nursery school setting, working with a team of early childhood educators to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Language

The primary language of communication is English, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
