Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Little Kids Daycare Center. As an Assistant to our Early Childhood Educators, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Submit written observations on children to Early Childhood Educators or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a safe and respectful environment.
