About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to oversee the administration of our lease and pension obligations. This is a key role within our finance team, requiring strong analytical and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Lease Administration:
    • Oversee the monthly transactions, depreciations, and reporting related to lease accounting under GAAP and IFRS.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders and stay up-to-date with current accounting trends and practices.
    • Prepare annual pension plan accounting under GAAP and IFRS, as well as related reporting requirements.
  • Pension Administration:
    • Manage the company's pension plan administration, including calculation, reconciliation, and timely submission of withholding taxes and sales taxes.
    • Coordinate income tax return activities with third-party consultants on behalf of expatriate employees.
    • Oversee the calculation, reconciliation, and timely submission of brand license fees.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare head office departments' financial review package, reconciliations, and analysis of profit and loss and balance sheet reports for management review.
    • Track shared services departments' spend versus budget, reconcile differences, and work with department leads to explain variances and control costs.
    • Approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by direct reports.
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Mentor, guide, and coach staff to ensure staff development that is consistent with the company objectives.
    • Ensure continuity of function by cross-training staff as required.
    • Establish priorities and reassign staff as needed to meet business demands.
