We are a multi-generational family of believers with over 4000 adults, children, and youth who gather together to worship on weekends. Our services are translated into 9 different languages, reflecting the cultural diversity of Greater Vancouver.
We are looking for an energetic and creative Director of Grade School Ministries who will develop and deliver engaging programs for children in grades 2-5. The successful candidate will lead and supervise a team of volunteers and staff, ensuring a safe and clean environment conducive to learning and growth in faith.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's ministry leadership, with experience in program development, team management, and pastoral care. They will be responsible for building relationships with parents, guardians, and volunteers, and for planning and executing special events in the children's ministry.
The Director of Grade School Ministries will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering all aspects of the HQ program for children in grades 2-5
- Leading and supervising all Small Group leaders, volunteers, and Kids Krew in the HQ program
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and kid-friendly environment conducive to learning and growth in faith
- Accurately checking in and registering children and volunteers at all events and programs
- Building ministry relationships with current parents, guardians, volunteers, and children in HQ
- Helping the Team Leader plan and execute special events in Kids Min
- Staying current on children's ministry best practices and changes in the wider church globally
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in theology or education, and will possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will be a team player who is passionate about serving children and families, and who is committed to the mission and values of Willingdon Church.
