Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $39.71 per hour, alternate shift schedule (4on x 3off; 42 hour average work schedule), shift premium of $0.65 per hour, retention payment of $0.50 per regular hour worked, annual tool allowance of $600, opportunity to work overtime paid at time and a half, benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, disability, RRSP retirement plan with employer contribution starting at 6%, health club reimbursement program, referral bonuses, personal and family assistance program, training and development support program, social club offering various activities to do with colleagues and family, workplace based on respect, diversity, and inclusion.

Job Description

As an Industrial Millwright at our Thunder Bay Sawmill, you will be responsible for applying required health and safety, environmental and quality procedures. You will collaborate with Production and Maintenance personnel with daily operation activities, utilize the Maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for processing work orders, weekly schedules, PM's, and updating the equipment database, perform preventive maintenance and carry out modification work on various equipment, improve, optimize, and diagnose different control, artificial vision power and servo systems, respond to production calls during downtime, communicate updates to supervisor to maintain goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have Industrial or Construction Mechanic/Millwright certification, 3-5 years' experience in related industrial environment, uncompromising approach to safety recognized, relational skills and ability to work in a team, availability for mill 12-hour operational shift schedules.
