Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology Instructor

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technicians to join our team as Instructors at SAIT's School of Manufacturing, Automation & Transportation. As an Instructor, you will play a critical role in equipping the next generation of maintenance engineers with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Instruct high-level technology courses to mature learners, providing a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, profiles, and curriculum, ensuring they are relevant and effective.
- Participate in curriculum and program reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of our programs.
- Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed.
- Evaluate student progress and achievement, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and advice to learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain close contact with relevant industry sectors, staying up-to-date on industry developments and trends.
- Continuously develop professionally, enhancing both technical knowledge and instructional skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an engaging and positive work and learning environment.
- Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students.
- Transport Canada AME, M license.
- Minimum Post-Secondary Education: Two-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology diploma.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation skills.
- An innovative mindset and the desire to make long-term lasting improvements.
- Ability to take a firm stand on important issues while being empathetic to the needs of learners and the work team.
- Previous teaching experience is an asset, but not required.
- General computer experience with a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and industry-related software.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to function as a team member.
- A customer service focus and strong relationship-building skills.
