Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology Instructor

SAIT's School of Manufacturing, Automation & Transportation is seeking highly motivated and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technicians to join our team as Instructors. As an Instructor, you will play a vital role in equipping the next generation of maintenance engineers with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the industry.
The Role- Teach high-level technology courses to mature learners, utilizing your expertise and passion for aircraft maintenance engineering.
- Develop and maintain course outlines, profiles, and curriculum to ensure students receive a comprehensive education.
- Participate in curriculum and program reviews to ensure our programs remain relevant and effective.
- Prepare additional study and lab materials to support learner success.
- Evaluate student progress and achievement, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Provide ongoing support, guidance, and advice to learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain close contact with relevant industry sectors to ensure our programs remain aligned with industry needs.
- Continuously develop professionally, enhancing both technical knowledge and instructional skills to stay current with industry developments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an engaging and positive work and learning environment.
- Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students.
- Transport Canada AME, M license.
- Minimum Post-Secondary Education: Two-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Technology diploma.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation skills.
- An innovative mindset and the desire to make lasting improvements.
- Ability to take a firm stand on important issues while being empathetic to the needs of learners and the work team.
- Previous teaching experience is an asset, but not required.
- General computer experience with a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications, and industry-related software.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function as a team member.
- A customer service focus and strong relationship-building skills.
