Job Summary

The Corporate Services Paralegal will provide corporate legal services to lawyers and their clients, working alongside the Corporate Services team at Farris LLP. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including incorporations, share transactions, director changes, and annual maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents for B.C., Federal, and extra-provincial companies, including name reservations, incorporations, and director changes.
  • Conduct corporate searches in BC, Canada, and overseas.
  • Correct minute book deficiencies and prepare annual documents for B.C., Federal, and Societies entities.
  • Review and maintain filings in virtual minute books.
  • Respond to client inquiries and manage files independently.
  • Attend to various filings and registrations with the B.C. Registry and Corporations Canada.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Corporate Records or a comparable field.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function well under pressure and handle multiple assignments.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of ALF corporate program is considered a strong asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an accredited paralegal studies program.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000 annually, with competitive salary and structured annual reviews, extended health and dental coverage, and a range of other benefits.
