Financial Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Business Analyst to join our team at TownSuite Municipal Software. As a key member of our implementation team, you will be responsible for assisting our growing client base with the implementation of our Financial modules within our core TownSuite mERP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain and analyze data, reports, and other crucial implementation information from client configuration, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Utilize gathered reports, databases, and other information to verify the correct input of legacy processes and information within TownSuite.
  • Compare and validate data between legacy and TownSuite reports, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with clients to review project progress and provide regular updates on implementation status.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and meeting established benchmarks.
  • Work closely with our team and clients to transition clients from legacy systems to TownSuite mERP applications, focusing on Financial and other Finance-driven modules.
  • Participate in meetings, providing expert input and reporting on project progress.
  • Identify and implement technical improvements to streamline job processes.
  • Document implementation procedures, modifying existing documentation as necessary to reflect changes.
  • Assist clients with module training and provide support during the go-live phase.
  • Discuss concerns or additional information required with clients, team members, and project managers.
  • Track time spent on projects, including each module, to ensure accurate resource allocation.
  • Focus on assigned projects, addressing any unrectified outliers promptly.
Requirements:
  • Strong financial analytical skills, with the ability to consume, analyze, and compare data.
  • Knowledge of ERP applications, ETL processes, and Microsoft SQL Server is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Well-organized, patient, and attentive to details, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Google G Suite is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA is a plus.
