Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements, developing and implementing change management procedures, and managing claims processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop process to ensure compliance with contract requirements;
  • Develop and implement change management procedures;
  • Oversee the identification of claims mitigation strategies;
  • Manage claims process;
  • Oversee negotiation of change orders, variations, and change issues;
  • Ensure timely and accurate contractual correspondence;
  • Oversee pricing of change and delay issues;
  • Manage preparation of narratives and entitlement documentation;
  • Oversee identification and tracking of contract and deliverables;
  • Identify and implement record-keeping procedures to validate potential changes;
  • Manage training of staff on the implementation of contract processes and procedures;
  • Maintain change management issue logs and provision of summary reports.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline;
  • Strong knowledge of construction law;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry;
  • Experience dealing with major change/claims management or dispute resolution issues in a major project;
  • Excellent command of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, etc.;
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Bilingualism, French and English, would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including four weeks of annual vacation, flexible group insurance, and access to a virtual doctor.
