Job Summary

Magna International is a leading mobility technology company with over 65 years of experience. We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at the Stronach Center for Innovation.

We envision a future with no limitations in mobility. Our team challenges the status quo and drives new, inventive ideas to advance global transportation. As a Data Scientist, you will lead and inspire the adoption of data science, analytics, and computer vision across projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for statistical analysis, machine learning, AI tools for product development, manufacturing, and business processes
  • Plan and execute ML and AI initiatives, including small-scale implementations
  • Conceptualize and implement machine learning solutions with minimal supervision
  • Leverage internal and external expertise as needed
  • Regularly update senior management on project progress
  • Occasionally hire, lead, and evaluate indirect hires such as summer students
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of experience
  • Alternative: Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 10+ years of experience
  • Strong background in data analytics and computer vision

  • Average salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
