Critical Care Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Sechelt Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide emergency nursing care to clients/patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of symptoms within an uncontrolled environment.
- Stabilize and resuscitate multi-trauma victims, and prepare for and respond to disaster situations.
- Enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family.
- Consult, confer, and collaborate with other health care givers.
- Maintain and advance clinical competence.
- Participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Sechelt Hospital is an acute care, 46-bed facility located in Sechelt, British Columbia. We provide a full range of services to the community, including Emergency care, Renal program-community dialysis units, Mental Health and Substance Use Services, surgical services, birthing for low-risk pregnancies and imaging services.
Qualifications- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is required.
- Completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or completion of a recognized advanced program in emergency care nursing or two (2) years' recent, related experience.
