Indigenous Peoples Relations Manager

About the RoleThis is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and experiences. As an Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving medium to high-risk cases related to Indigenous Peoples, ensuring that all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, Bank policies, and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
- Independently manage cases, providing value-added advice and coaching on employment-related issues to employees, People Managers, and HR Business Partners
- Conduct formal investigations into allegations of serious misconduct, both independently and/or in collaboration with the Employment Law Group and Corporate Security
- Lead employee interviews, analyzing the facts of situations, writing investigative reports, and presenting findings and recommendations to Senior Leadership
- Work in collaboration with HR Business Partners to plan the end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, identifying trends and providing insights to Senior Leadership and HR Business Partners
- Promote and support a seamless and consistent experience for employees and People Managers with ER/LR issues and concerns, updating and maintaining accurate information in the ER/LR case file
