Job Title: Heavy Construction Equipment Operator

Ruby Rock Asphalts Works Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Construction Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, pavers, and rollers to ensure the successful completion of our construction projects.

Work Environment

As a Heavy Construction Equipment Operator, you will work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty and noisy conditions, and may be exposed to extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, pavers, and rollers to complete construction projects.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks as required.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment as needed.
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to ensure accurate placement of materials.
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to stay in touch with team members.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
