Job Summary

Ruby Rock Asphalts Works Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our asphalt finishing crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, and pavers to ensure high-quality finishes on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, asphalt spreaders, and pavers to achieve precise finishes
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill tanks to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Secure special attachments to equipment as required
  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment to navigate construction sites
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment to minimize downtime
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial/commercial/institutional construction setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
