Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Post Office Assistant to join our team at Canada Post Corp. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, processing mail and packages, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell postal products and services to customers
  • Sort, distribute, and process mail into appropriate classifications
  • Provide customers with information and forms
  • Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration
  • Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
  • Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time
