We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at J & R Custom Pole Sheds & Roofing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of our custom pole sheds and roofing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and layout construction sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create precise and durable structures.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and secure finish.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate existing structures, including residences and wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations, including regular criminal record checks.
- Travel to various locations as required, using your own transportation to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Work in a physically demanding environment, combining sitting, standing, and walking to complete tasks, and requiring the use of steel-toed safety boots.
- Manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines, working a standard 40-hour week.
- 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Permanent employment with a reputable company.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
