We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Alberta. As a key member of our Department of Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, education, and research in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academic Medicine and Health Service Program (AMHSP) as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a viable academic career in conjunction with a clinical career, with competitively funded protected time for education and/or research.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services to patients, teaching and supervising medical students and residents, and contributing to research and education in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. They will also participate in medical education and/or research, with up to 0.5 FTE dedicated to these activities.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MD and be certified, or eligible for certification, with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as a Psychiatrist with subspecialty training and/or designation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Preference will be given to psychiatrists with previous interest in and/or additional medical education and/or research training.
