About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Logistics Manager to join our team at TRANS-IT LOGISTICS INC. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and Control Budget and Expenditures

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and controlling the budget and expenditures of the logistics department. This includes developing and implementing budgeting policies and procedures, as well as analyzing and reporting on financial performance.

Procurement and Purchasing

The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing purchasing policies and procedures. This includes evaluating the cost and quality of goods or services, authorizing the development of specifications for products or services, and managing contracts.

Logistics Operations

The successful candidate will oversee the analysis of data and information, prepare reports, and advise senior management on logistics-related matters. They will also be responsible for assigning, coordinating, and reviewing projects and programs, as well as planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.

Supervision and Team Management

The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will supervise a team of 3-4 people and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

The successful candidate will have strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Transportation and Travel

The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license. Travel expenses will be paid by the employer.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and will require strong attention to detail. They will also be able to manage a large caseload and workload.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree.

Experience

They will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
