We are seeking a highly skilled Data Observability Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, Canada.

Our client is a leading SaaS company specializing in Data Observability Platforms. Their product enables users to manage and analyze vast amounts of data, providing insights for improved workflow efficiency.

The company has received significant funding and is focused on growth, with a 96% closing rate for Proof of Concept requests.

About the Role:

This position involves rebuilding the path to observability using real-time streaming analytics pipelines, providing monitoring, visualization, and alerting capabilities without indexing burdens.

You will work closely with customers to address technical questions, ensure successful platform adoption, and contribute to knowledge base development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical matters
  • Owning customer support cases from opening to closure, ensuring high satisfaction
  • Establishing relationships with technical counterparts to drive product adoption and expansion
  • Training and coaching customers for successful onboarding and ongoing usage
  • Advocating internally for customer needs and contributing to knowledge base development
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple open issues simultaneously
  • Properly escalating unresolved issues to internal teams

Requirements:

  • Background in Cloud DevOps, specifically experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, CloudFormation, Load Balancers, CloudWatch) or equivalent with Azure and GCP
  • Experience with Observability tools such as Kibana, Open-Search, Grafana, Datadog, Sumo Logic, New Relic, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Logz.io, Signal FX, Instana, Splunk, Honeycomb, Jaeger
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-focused technical support role
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills in English
  • Motivation to learn new skills and technologies
  • High availability for fast response to customers

Preferred Skills:

  • ELK (Elastic-search/Logstash/Kibana) experience
  • Regular Expressions, Lucene, PromQL experience
  • Kubernetes and Docker container complex troubleshooting experience
  • Scripting skills in Python, Perl, Ruby
  • SAAS B2B software company experience

Location: This remote role requires you to be based on the West Coast in Canada. Please note that sponsorship is not offered for this position, and you must have a valid right to work in Canada.
