SalaryThe estimated salary range for this role is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Azure Data team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing solutions that analyze massive amounts of telemetry data in near real-time, perform automated root cause analysis, and mitigate issues to restore service level objectives (SLOs).
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement tooling and automation solutions for faster issue resolution and incident prevention.
- Communicate deeply technical information to large enterprise customers for handling service escalations and driving issues to resolution.
- Analyze data and provide operational insights to Design and Product teams to inform feature development with supportability in mind.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration, or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements, including a Cloud Background Check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of Observability and MELT implementation patterns for large-scale services.
- Experience with Logic Apps, Jupyter Notebooks, and analyzing, troubleshooting, and automating root cause analysis and mitigation of incidents impacting large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of SRE or SWE experience running large scale cloud services and 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python/Java/C#.
