Insurance Claims Adjuster

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Claims Adjuster to join our team at SGI. As an Insurance Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling moderately complex auto insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and negotiate claims in a fair and consistent manner.
- Secure information from insureds, third parties, witnesses, and service providers.
- Review and interpret police reports, repair invoices, and other documents to bring claims to resolution.
- Assess and evaluate coverage as it applies to the details of the loss.
- Administer claims payments and settlements.
- Recognize and pursue subrogation or salvage opportunities.
- Monitor and update customers at various stages of the claim and repair processes.
- Maintain updated electronic detailed notes.
- Arrange for the dispatch of vehicle damage appraisers or independent adjusters when required.
- Confirm coverage in accordance with the Ontario automobile policy.
- Monitor and maintain control of expenses such as rental, towing, and storage.
Requirements
- A two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Business.
- 2-4 years' experience in a technical insurance role.
