Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outdoor Grounds Maintenance Manager to join our team at Hyklen Services.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a motivated individual to lead our grounds maintenance team, overseeing all aspects of outdoor site maintenance, including landscaping, gardening, and facilities management.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field, with experience in supervising teams and managing budgets.

This role offers a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 3-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent work standards and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans, schedules, and budgets to meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee all aspects of outdoor site maintenance, including lawn care, pruning, planting, and pest control.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and promote cross-functional teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in varying weather conditions.
