Winter Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Winter Patroller to join our team at Miller Maintenance. As a Winter Patroller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our communities by performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations, and implementing emergency plans.
As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders, and will work closely with our Foreperson to ensure that our maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
If you have a strong background in snow and ice control, a valid DZ license, and experience working in extreme weather conditions, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform road maintenance activities on provincial highways, including snowplowing and salting
- Respond to emergency situations, such as spills and accidents, during inclement weather
- Implement emergency plans and provide traffic control at accident scenes
- Operate a variety of equipment, including snowplows and salt spreaders
- Maintain accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
