About the PositionThis is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Heavy Duty Technician to join our team as a 310T Licensed Technician (T4). As a T4, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls/rebuilds on heavy-duty vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support
- Perform remote triage with customers to determine the best solution for roadside breakdowns
- Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
- Coach and mentor other level technicians
- Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs
- Perform facility maintenance duties and utilize key functions of the Shop Management System
- Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
- Diploma or GED required
- 310T license is required
- Valid Driver's License (Class G2 or above) is required
- Four (4) years or more experience in performing advanced mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment is required
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to demonstrate proficiency with advanced diagnostics, overhaul, and repair of all vehicle components and systems
- Ability to read and/or listen and understand information and ideas communicated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Available for on-call duty and work shift work/weekend
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices
