About the Role

Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an experienced and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The position is part-time, permanent, completing 12 hours per week. The successful candidate will provide support for non-contact time, specialised subject areas across Prep to Year 2 and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
  • Ability to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community
  • Understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the ability to differentiate, and provide for, a diverse range of abilities
  • Collaboration and positive working as a part of a professional learning community
  • Ability to change and develop instructional strategies to increase student growth and achievement

Mandatory Criteria

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
