Job SummaryThis permanent full-time position is available for a Healthcare Assistant in our Primary Care Clinic. As a member of our collaborative health team, you will provide direct care and support to patients based on their needs, under the supervision of regulated health professionals.
About the OpportunityIn this role, you will work closely with patients and families to provide support and education, promote healthy behaviors, and empower them to take control of their health. You will be responsible for tasks such as assisting with mobility, providing personal care, and supporting infection prevention and control measures.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care and support to patients based on their needs, under the supervision of regulated health professionals.
- Assist with mobility, personal care, and other tasks as required.
- Support infection prevention and control measures, including hand hygiene and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to promote healthy behaviors and empower patients to take control of their health.
- Completion of the Continuing Care Assistant Program.*
- Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness.
- Candidates are required to submit their certification and be registered and active with the CCA Registry.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Demonstrates effective listening and communication skills.

- Personal care, safe handling & mobility, and safety protocols

$23.70 - $25.71 Hourly
