Technical Service Manager - ECS

SAP is the global leader in business software, and our Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is dedicated to maximizing customer success. As a Technical Service Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality results and contributing to our global strategy of helping customers adopt SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers, safeguarding and optimizing their investments in SAP ECS.
  • Work closely with Customer Delivery Managers and ECS internal service delivery to serve and delight our customers.
  • Own technical discussions with customers, orchestrating experts to obtain expertise from the SAP delivery organization as required.
  • Support the CDM and TechOps teams in executing the service delivery plan and calendar.
  • Analyze customer technical requirements and coordinate experts from ECS Delivery to drive topics to resolution.
  • Present technical details and engagement models to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support customers and SAP services teams in building cloud roadmaps covering infrastructure architecture, technical managed services, security, and integration.
  • Guide customers on technical aspects like business continuity, security, and compliance.
  • Assess customer security and network requirements to ensure SAP security architecture meets customer needs.
  • Conduct technical and operational reviews to measure progress against defined cloud architecture and roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Management.
  • High proficiency in customer communications and presentations.
  • High proficiency in SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
  • Good understanding of SAP solutions, releases, and platform interdependencies.
  • Good understanding of operational aspects of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Good understanding of at least one hyperscale cloud (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP).
  • Willingness to undertake customer-related travel on short notice.
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other language an asset.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience with SAP Basis administrative duties.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing SAP Technical Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and SAP implementation.
  • SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA, TOGAF certifications are a plus.
  • Experience and certifications with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP) are an advantage.
