The Shift Manager is a key role in the success of our restaurants, responsible for delivering sales and profit results through effective management of operations, guest service, and team performance. As a Shift Manager at Burger King, you will be the leader on the floor, driving key performance outcomes and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Profitability:
- Manage Cash Control and Security: Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain a secure environment by following all cash control and security procedures.
- Inventory Management: Conduct daily and weekly inventory inspections to maintain accurate inventory levels and receive inventory truck orders.
Guest Service:
- Lead by Example: Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings.
People Development:
- Coach and Develop Team Members: Provide coaching and feedback to team members to increase their capabilities and raise restaurant performance.
Operations:
- Set the Pace: Set an example for team members by working hard to implement shift plans and drive operational results.
- Efficient Service: Direct efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products for prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines.
- Motivate and Engage: Motivate team members during shift on each of the workstations.
- Review and Improve: Review restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Brand Standards: Ensure that the restaurant upholds operational and brand standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience.
- Skills: Demonstrated understanding of guest service principles.
- Availability: Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexibility: Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed for proper functioning of the restaurant.
