What You'll Do
You will assist in all aspects of the design process, from researching trends to sample preparation. Help with fabric swatches, color palettes, and CAD needs, along with supporting the team in design meetings and presentations:
- Research seasonal key trends, color, fabric, silhouette, and innovation that is brand-right.
- Assist the Design Team with completing CAD illustrations and PLM BOMs accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain design presentations and line sheets.
- Attend and assist in fittings to ensure quality product and brand standards.
- Help organize trims, lab dips, hand looms, strike-offs, and knit-downs.
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
- Retail experience a strong asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Solid comprehension of garment construction, garment specifications, and critical product construction.
- Must have an eye for detail, color, and creativity combined with fashion industry insight.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to tackle multiple projects with varying scope and project teams.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
