About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Caregiver to join our team at JM. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a family setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Development: Assist children with their educational needs, including homework and reading.
  • Household Management: Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Childcare and Supervision: Provide one-on-one attention and supervision to children, including activities such as games, outings, and rest periods.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of children, including administering medication and providing first aid when necessary.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain open communication with parents and other caregivers to ensure a smooth and consistent care environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience working with children is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, time management, and patience.
Working Conditions
  • Work Setting: Work in the employer's/client's home.
  • Accommodation: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is not available.
