Established in southern Ontario, our client is a leading construction management and GC dedicated to delivering exceptional results on ICI building projects. Due to an exciting project pipeline, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for their Toronto office.

Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager who will oversee the entire construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing day-to-day operations of ICI projects, coordinating site supervision resources, and negotiating contracts with local subtrades.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing total construction effort to ensure project delivery in accordance with design, budget, and schedule
  • Managing day-to-day operations of ICI projects
  • Coordinating site supervision resources collaboratively as well as the pre-construction team
  • Negotiating contracts with local subtrades and managing relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Responsible for overall project performance and reporting in areas including, but not limited to safety, cost/budget, schedule, quality, and project status
  • Drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary
  • Leading by example to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
  • Mentoring, coaching, supervising, and assessing performance of direct reports and other team members
  • Overseeing projects from pre-construction to closeout

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager who has:

  • 10+ years of project management experience working with established General Contractors in the local market
  • Multiple full-cycle ICI new build and renovation projects valued between $1M - $30M
  • Ability to work on Lump-sum, Design Build, and CM projects
  • Experience managing large contracts involving trades, consultants, construction management firms
  • Post-secondary diploma in a construction-related discipline
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and software skills
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines
  • Familiarity with project management and estimating software programs
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code

What We Offer
