About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our projects team, you will manage large-scale building and infrastructure projects, collaborating closely with client groups and subcontractors to achieve project goals and vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients to drive project success.
  • Support project management teams in developing and driving construction schedules to meet completion dates and milestones.
  • Apply financial management expertise to plan, manage, and respect project budgets, costs, and purchasing.
  • Share knowledge and mentor project team members through various opportunities.
  • Minimize project risk through expert risk management practices.
  • Compile and complete company-wide project reports with pride.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection on the project.
  • Apply project-specific safety standards, promoting Pomerleau's HS&E standards and complying with relevant OH&S acts, regulations, and codes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in Project Management within the ICI construction industry, with experience in Life Sciences/Healthcare/Hospital projects.
  • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational prowess, influential abilities, adept problem-solving, and ensuring project success amidst diverse challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, building codes, and associated legislation.
  • Champion and role model for quality and all health and safety best practices.
  • Experienced working with scheduling software, with knowledge and experience working with P6 considered a strong asset.
