Medical Laboratory Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Laboratory Medicine to join our team at Ancaster Endoscopy Clinic.
Job Summary:The Chief of Laboratory Medicine will be responsible for leading our laboratory team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services to our patients. This is a key leadership role that requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the laboratory team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the analysis of data and information to inform laboratory operations and improve patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services with clinical care.
- Develop and manage the laboratory budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with financial regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques, and implement new methods and procedures as needed.
- Ensure the laboratory is equipped to handle emergency situations and respond to critical incidents.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as laboratory medicine or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory leadership role, preferably in a medical clinic or hospital setting.
- Strong clinical expertise and knowledge of laboratory procedures and technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
