Medical Laboratory Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Laboratory Medicine to join our team at Ancaster Endoscopy Clinic.
Job Summary:The Chief of Laboratory Medicine will be responsible for leading our laboratory team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services to our patients. This is a key leadership role that requires strong clinical and management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the laboratory team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, including testing, quality control, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with our healthcare team to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services with patient care.
- Develop and manage the laboratory budget, including forecasting and financial planning.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory technologies and techniques, and implement new methods and procedures as needed.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as laboratory medicine or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory leadership role, preferably in a hospital or medical clinic setting.
- Strong clinical and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
