About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at Hill Top Motel & Restaurant. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel and restaurant facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are kept clean and free of debris.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair, and make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens to maintain a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Heavy Lifting: Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as required.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
