HR Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized HR Student to join our team on a temporary basis. As an HR Student, you will provide support to the Human Resources department with various tasks and projects.
Responsibilities- Assist the HR team with day-to-day activities, including recruitment, personnel record filing, and project coordination.
- Support employee engagement activities and events, such as training sessions and team-building exercises.
- Ensure all HR functions are in compliance with provincial and federal regulations regarding employment.
- Communicate with the HR Manager regarding daily activities and attend weekly HR meetings.
- Act as an internal resource to Mytox employees, providing information and support on HR-related matters.
- Update job descriptions as needed and assist with recruitment, including reviewing applicants and participating in interviews.
- Create and maintain employee files, assist with training and development activities, and conduct new hire orientation.
- Manage temporary labor, working with supervisors to fill open labor requests and complete weekly labor and payroll reports.
- High school diploma and enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources program.
- Working knowledge of Employment Standards Act (ESA) and the Human Rights Code.
- Strong communication and written skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team or cross-functional team and independently, with strong Microsoft program skills.
- Positive interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and well-organized.
