Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level Designer to join our team at Apex Systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Lead Level Designer to design and implement multiple levels from conception to polish. You will be responsible for partnering with other members of the Level Design Team, Level Art Team, programmers, and other design disciplines to bring the design vision to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ideate and develop level designs from conception to final stages of polish.
  • Create and debug levels using Unreal Engine and proprietary tools.
  • Own the quality and design of your levels.
  • Collaborate regularly with other designers, artists, and technical experts.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience working on action-shooter or action-adventure console titles.
  • Familiarity with visual game editors, preferably Unreal Engine.
  • Strong knowledge of level design fundamentals, constraints, and narrative.
  • Experience with gameplay systems in levels.
  • Collaborative environment experience.
  • Scripting language and level editor proficiency.
  • Game console and tool experience.

Benefits

This is an 18-month contract position, offering a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 based on location and experience.
