About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Corporate Data Management Director at Scotiabank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Global Operations project portfolio, including prioritization, business case review, and project governance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Global Operations stakeholders to identify and prioritize project investments, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
  • Project Governance: Facilitate the development, review, and approval of business cases, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Portfolio Management Office and Global Finance policies and standards.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain data-driven portfolio reporting and dashboards, providing insights on project health, status, risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team in identifying and reporting on portfolio issues and dependencies, ensuring effective communication and escalation to Global Operations Executives.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with Global Finance/EPMO to review and provide project/financial oversight on all business cases, ensuring alignment with finance policy.
Requirements
  • Excellent Analytical Skills: Possess a solid understanding of project performance measurement tools/criteria and demonstrated ability to conceptualize problems and apply analytical techniques.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exemplary customer service, including professional advice and creative solutions, is required.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines with multiple priorities is essential.
  • Team Management: Strong team management skills, including leadership and collaboration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with GL systems and data, project management tools, and business, financial reporting, or accounting degrees.
