Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician Assistant to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation. As a key member of our installation crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors, working closely with our experienced technicians to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation and service of overhead doors, including D&A testing and site access
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and work effectively in a team environment
  • Participate in regular training and development to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform general warehouse duties and assist with inventory management
  • Other duties as assigned by the Field Operations Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months' experience in a relevant trade (construction, welding, millwright)
  • Resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
  • Any relevant safety training and tickets is an asset (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including drug, alcohol, and health assessment
