Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Garage Door Installer Helper to join our team at Overhead Door Corporation in Winnipeg. As a key member of our two-person crew, you will assist in the service and installation of overhead doors while learning the trade from our experienced Lead Technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments for access or post-incident activities
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and work in a team environment
  • Participate in out-of-town work, with minimal notice
  • Focus on delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Champion safety standards and provide exceptional customer service
  • Operate hand tools, electric tools, and ladders
  • Interact regularly with warehouse staff, project managers, customers, and other trades
  • Take direction from Lead Technicians and provide support as needed
  • Actively learn and develop your skills in the trade
  • Perform general warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-6 months of experience in a relevant trade (construction, welding, millwright)
  • Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and integrity
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
  • Relevant safety training and certifications (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug and alcohol testing
