Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Denny's 17 Ave. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that inventory levels are maintained.
  • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Work Environment

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to work in a hot kitchen environment and be physically demanding.
