About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team at the Eastern Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a consultant to other physicians, providing expert medical advice and guidance.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Specialty residency training in internal medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound medical judgments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high levels of pressure.
