Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Application Support to lead our team of technical resources in providing exceptional support and maintenance for our critical applications. As a key member of our Investor Services Technology group, you will be responsible for delivering "best in class" support and capabilities to our clients, ensuring smooth day-to-day Business Operations and stability of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for cross-platform synergies, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Manage problem resolution for overnight runs, leading and escalating issues to appropriate groups as needed.
  • Develop and maintain key vendor relationships, ensuring timely resolution of application issues and effective maintenance of application processes.
  • Operationalize application processing and downstream flows, creating operational procedures for error handling and reporting.
  • Coordinate application maintenance releases from vendors and other maintenance changes, establishing a change management process with the development lead.
  • Manage application maintenance budgets and track system-related issues, working with the development lead, business unit, and infrastructure group to recommend and resolve software or hardware solutions.
  • Drive service optimization and identify areas for further review, promoting innovative methods and best practices such as Agile and DevOps, Cloud, Self-healing applications & AI.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in leadership and/or people management.
  • Proven application support, maintenance, and delivery of enhancements projects on critical applications, with experience working with onshore and offshore resources.
  • Experience with SDLC processes and tools, Windows, SQL, MQ, and technologies such as WAS, JAVA, WebSphere,.NET, AIX, Linux, Unix, JBOSS.
  • Capacity planning/sizing and performance tuning, strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study (computer science, mathematics, engineering, etc.) or equivalent combination of practical experience and professional training.
  • Business knowledge of Investments – securities trading, corporate actions, SWIFT Payments.
