Job Title: Wood Floor Installer

Capital Floor is seeking a skilled Wood Floor Installer to join our team. As a Wood Floor Installer, you will be responsible for installing hardwood floors, resilient flooring, and other types of flooring materials.

Work Environment

Our Wood Floor Installers work in a variety of settings, including commercial, institutional, and residential locations. You will be required to work on-site, often in customers' homes, and may be required to travel to different locations.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
  • Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms
  • Install vinyl decking materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train
  • Or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
