Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at TILE PRO FLOORING LTD. as a Floor Covering Installer.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including hardwood, resilient, and carpet, in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Physically demanding work environment
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations. The work environment will be physically demanding, with exposure to dust, odors, and heavy loads.
