About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Clerk to join our team at The Cigna Group. As a Claims Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our claims processing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage claims in a timely and accurate manner
  • Sort, batch, and scan claims by benefit into bundles of 25 or 50 on a daily basis
  • Manage claim returns, including printing labels and returning letters for mail out
  • Log claim returns on a daily basis
  • Pull claim adjustments as requested by the Call Centre
  • Pull claims for Auditor using system-generated reports
  • Filing of processor claims
  • Answering delivery door on a daily basis
  • Identify efficiencies and process improvements
  • Ensure service standards and quality targets are met by monitoring and participating in team activities
  • Support the management of vendors, including Canada Post, Superior Courier, Iron Mountain, and Neopost Canada
  • Order office supplies
  • Manage and troubleshoot office equipment, including Fax Machines, Printers, and Neopost
  • Support internal and external mail services, including Purolator requests and inter-office mail
  • Assist with facility issues and concerns
  • Collaborate with all departments, including managers, supervisors, seniors, and staff
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a clerical/administrative position
  • College degree or High school diploma/GED required
  • Excellent office and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
  • Able to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability and dependability
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
